About Rand Bullion

Rand Bullion is an independent editorial desk that reviews gold trading brokers for readers in South Africa.

Who runs this desk

Rand Bullion is run by a small editorial team focused on gold trading, specifically XAU/USD, for readers in South Africa. We are not a broker, a bank, or a licensed financial adviser, and we do not hold any regulatory licence ourselves. Our role is to publish honest, useful information about trading gold through online brokers.

We write from a South African perspective, which means we think about rand funding through EFT, local regulation like the FSCA, and the practical questions a trader in this country faces. The desk has no named authors because the work is a collective effort, and we prefer to stand behind the content as a team.

How we earn money

Affiliate links are the only source of revenue for Rand Bullion. When a reader opens an account with a broker through one of our links, we may receive a commission from that broker. This does not cost the reader anything extra.

Payment never buys a rating or hides a weakness. We decide what to publish and how to rate brokers before any affiliate relationship is considered. If a broker pays us, they cannot influence the score or the text of a review. We would rather lose a commission than mislead a reader.

What we are not

Rand Bullion is not a broker, and we do not handle client money or execute trades. We are also not a licensed financial adviser, so nothing on this site is personal advice to buy or sell gold. Trading CFDs on gold is high-risk, and most retail accounts lose money.

We do not have a call centre or a complaints department. Our only public contact is an editorial mailbox, which we check when we can. We will not help with account problems or fund recovery, because those are matters between the trader and the broker.
